    Trip to Desaru

Filed under: Family — joanne @ 7:51 am

We were planning for the trip to Desaru, a country beach side located at the south part of my country, since last year.

All of my direct family members are living there, and my sister own an vacation apartment there, it’s just so convenience for us to drop a visit since accommodation was fixed. The only thing is I am staying in the other state, and kids are only available when school holidays.

My sister invited us few times to join the sunny weekend at the beach with them, Dawn and Seer are eagerly to see the trip comes true as they never seen beach or a real sea, but the timing and other factors were just out of my control.

The first time we finally set the date and while I was preparing everything for Dawn and Seer and myself, including the sunblock and other necessaries, then just few days before the date, there was a Tsunami warning in Indonesia, because it’s so close to Malaysia, we canceled the trip.

Come the second time, it was a ‘never seen before’ kind of serious flood happen in my country, it was even not recommended for me to drive back to my hometown, most of the main roads were fully covered with water and were unaccessible.

And the third time, in April this year, no Tsunami no flood, one day before the trip, Seer was falling sick with chicken pox!

To not disappointing Dawn and Seer again in this short term school holidays, I drove back with them even though the hemorrhoids is hurting me so much, we finally be able to spent a fun filling and sunny weekend with my sister’s family in Desaru.

When we reach the destination, when Dawn and Seer step their feet on the sand, when they look at the sea, both of them were jumping and shouting, they were so excited! We enjoyed and feel the happiness fully, way until the day we drove back to ours home, and looking forward for another visit to Desaru.

    2. I am thinking to bring my kids for outing near year end :)
Thinking of Sunway Lagoon or Hong Kong Disney Land. Look like can consider Desaru too :) Kids will enjoy that, not sure if adult will.

    3. If you are with your kids, I think you will enjoy regardless where’s the place, as long as they’re enjoying :)
