Making new friends

Coming to the end of the month of July, how are you doing out there friends?
The facebook, are you one of the member? this is being so hot at the moment (of course Harry Potter still taking the lead
), another place to make new friends, another possibility!
I used to tried the online dating services, like Match.com, responses were there but I just didn’t have the courage to meet them physically, it’s just too different from chatting through emails or messengers!
When we write, we are hiding behind the screen, of course we can still observe ones personality via the words that they’re using, but without the body language and facial expression, it’s still not possible to really get to know another person, for me.
Of course honestly always count, on or off line. You will know if the person was making up most of his / her stories unless he / she is a good writer.
There are many successful cases out there, even one of my favorite blogs’ owner revealed that she met her husband from a online community despite the initial intention was not to get a partner, they started their relationship few years later and get married with two beautiful kids now, and see, that’s what we call endless possibilities!

Hi Joanne,
Be careful when you meet people online. I used to work as an Events Organiser to match singles, I have seen and heard of enough examples what you would not want to meet.
How about trying dating agencies with Computer Matching? Or join some activities specifically for singles? Especially camps or short overseas trips? Success rates of such outings have been proven to be good.
With concern,
Karen
